Warm reception for Dutch climate change film in Hollywood

Meat the Truth, the Dutch climate change film presented by Marianne Thieme, has been warmly received in Hollywood.
The US premiere of this much discussed Dutch film took place last weekend at the famous Egyptian Theater in Hollywood in the presence of, amongst others, the Dutch Consul. Other prominent guests included Wayne Pacelle, president of HSUS (the world’s largest animal protection organization with 10 million members), actrice Megan Blake and the well-known Hollywood attorney Kim Swartz.

The response to the international version of Meat the Truth were extremely full of praise and there was great interest from distributors with regard to distributing the film in the United States.

In the meantime, Meat the Truth has been selected and/or nominated for various important film festivals in the US, such as the Artivist Festival, the Montana CINE Festival in Missoula, Montana, the 7th Annual Wild and Scenic Environmental Film festival in Nevada City, California and the 56th Columbus International Film + Video Festival, alias ‘The Chris Awards’.

Marianne Thieme and Karen Soeters, director of the Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation, are expected to return from Los Angeles, where they attended the film’s premiere, on Wednesday.
