Pamela Anderson presented with Meat the Truth at Millionaire Fair

Amsterdam, 11th December 2008 – Tonight at 8.30 pm, Pamela Anderson will be presented with a copy of the documentary Meat the Truth by Karen Soeters (Director, Nicolaas G. Pierson Foundation) in the RAI Congress Centre. Henk Keilman, environmental entrepreneur and financer of the international version of the film, will also attend the presentation.

Pamela Anderson participated in the making of the film about the far reaching impact of livestock farming on climate change.

The livestock industry worldwide is responsible for 18% of all greenhouse gas emissions, 40% more than the emissions created by all the cars, trucks, trains, boats and planes added together. Partly through Anderson’s cooperation, Meat the Truth has been a worldwide success and has already been screened in various countries across the globe.

Anderson is a confirmed vegetarian who had dedicated herself to the reduction of meat consumption for many years. In addition to participating in Meat the Truth, she has campaigned against Kentucky Fried Chicken and against Jessica Simpson’s promotion of the meat industry. Pamela Anderson is also an active campaigner for PETA.
